Hi, I'm Jonathan! 👋 I am the founder and owner of Emerald Cinema. My history in photography and videography goes back to before I was born as my father was a wedding videographer many moons ago. You can say I was born with a camera in hand actually! I had taken further schooling in photography/filmmaking in high school and then in college. Along the way in my other endeavors, I had been recruited by local Sacramento firms for advertising and media needs. This corporate work then led a friend to ask me for a favor. He asked me to film their wedding. Who knew a favor would lead to a fruitful and truly enjoyable career photographing and filming couple's most special moments!
I am the main photographer and videographer of the weddings that we capture. I shoot about 60% of the weddings that we book.

Miguel has more than 15 years of experience in videography. Miguel is also currently one of the main cameramen for ABC news 10 Sacramento. Miguel shoots about 30% of our weddings.
